Uses & Crops. Glyphosate is a foliar-applied, translocated herbicide that may be applied preplant or preemergence to over 150 crops for control of most annual weeds, perennial weeds, and woody brush and trees. Use post-directed in tree and plantation crops, postemergence over ready soybeans, and postharvest in fallow periods and noncrop areas. Ultra used for citrus also for control of quackgrass and other weeds in annual cropping systems, pastures, and sods. Broad-spectrum control of emerged weeds in and around aquatic and noncrop sites including industrial, recreational, and public areas such as airports, ditchbanks, dry ditches and canals, fencerows, golf courses, highways, industrial plant sites, and rights-of-way. Other uses for control of most stubborn annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in plantation and other crops, and general weed control in noncrop areas and as no-tillage in farmland.
